DAY 1: ANTALYA
Flights to Antalya. Reception by our guide at the airport and transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight in Antalya
DAY 2: ANTALYA – FETHIYE
The tour begins in Antalya, the provincial capital of the Turkish Riviera. From here we drive along the turquoise coast to Demre, which was called Myra in the ancient period. Famous St. Nicholas was the bishop of Myra and we will be visiting his church. After visiting the impressive rock-cut tombs of Myra, we drive to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Fethiye area.
DAY 3: FETHIYE - KUSADASI
After breakfast we drive to the protected area of Dalyan, which is hometfo the rare sea turtles "caretta caretta". During a boat trip through the reed road that connects the Koycegiz lake to the Mediterranean, we enjoy the unspoilt nature of this earthly paradise. Then we reach the beach of Iztuzu, the breeding ground of loggerhead turtles, where we will take a break for swimming and walking along the beach. Dinner and overnight in Kusadasi area.
DAY 4: KUSADASI - EPHESUS
After breakfast we will visit Ephesus, one of the largest archaeological sites in the world. As we wander through the ancient Street of the Curetes and marble exterior, we admire monuments such as the Odeon, Temple of Hadrian, Scholastika Baths, commercial agora, the great theater and many other buildings of this ancient metropolis, which was also visited by St. Paul. At an altitude of about 350 meters, we visit the former Greek wine village Sirince. The original architecture of the place is still largely preserved and differs from the recognizable style of the other villages. Dinner and overnight in the same hotel in Kusadasi.
DAY 5: PAMUKKALE
Early morning we will head to Pamukkale. The tour we start with the ancient cemetery of Hierapolis with with its more than 1200 free-laid sarcophagi, the most interesting tombs in Anatolia. Not far from here lies a natural wonder of the world “Pamukkale” with its white sedimentary rocks deposited by water from the hot springs. This place was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. Then you have time for a swim in our Thermal Hotel in Pamukkale.
DAY 6: PAMUKKALE, ANTALYA
On this day we enjoy on the trip to Antalya, the breathtaking landscapes of the rugged Taurus Mountains. At about 1200 m altitude in the mountains we visit one of the most important carpet weaving centers in the world. Here we learn a lot about the nimble-fingered art and what made the Turks inventors of this art. An enchanting scenic ride will take us back by another route through the Taurus Mountains, where we drive by nomad tents and learn why the nomads still prefer the free life. Return to our hotel in Antalya, dinner and overnight in Antalya.
DAY 7: ANTALYA
Antalya, the special piece of jewelry on the Turkish Riviera with the marvelous scenery of the Taurus Mountains invites us today to take a city tour. Carefully we take our time for a stroll through the city and attend a public market which resembles one from a picture book. Many oriental spices, fruits, vegetables and fresh tea are tempting items to buy. The colors and scents are a delight for the eyes and nose. Then we visit the waterfalls of Karpuzkaldiran. Dinner and overnight in Antalya.
DAY 8: DEPARTURE
Transfer to airport and flight back to homecountry. Until next time. Goodbye!
